This season, the Selçuk University Basketball Team, competing in the Beko Basketball League, received support from ATİKER—which serves as the jersey sponsor for Anadolu SelçukluSpor—as well as for Konya Engelliler Gücü, competing in the Amputee Soccer Super League. As a sponsor of the green-and-white team, our organization provides both financial and moral support to this Konya-based team striving to make it on its own.
WHAT IS AMPUTEE FOOTBALL?
Amputation refers to the absence of all or part of a person’s arm, leg, foot, or hand. Amputee soccer is a form of soccer played by athletes who are missing a leg and use crutches. It is widely played, with European and World Championships organized regularly. Each team consists of 1 goalkeeper and 6 players. The goalkeepers play with one arm.
